Sources and accuracy

  • Auction results, tender notices and other official figures come from the Bank of Tanzania. Each figure shows its source, the period it refers to and when it was published.

  • We collect and check data carefully, but errors, delays and gaps can happen, including in the original sources. If our figures differ from an official publication, the official publication prevails.

  • Some numbers are calculated by UCHUMIKA from official data (for example bid-to-cover ratios). These are marked "Calculated" and the method is explained.

  • Please report a data error if you find one. We correct confirmed errors and show when a figure was revised.

Calculators and estimates

Calculator and tool results are estimates based on the inputs you give and the assumptions stated with each tool. Unless a tool says otherwise, they do not include brokerage or bank fees, accrued interest or every tax that may apply. The withholding tax rate used is shown with each result. Actual returns may differ.

Past results and risk

Past auction yields and trends do not guarantee future results. All investments carry risk, including changes in interest rates, inflation and the value of money over time.
